One of Gent's oldest tradition is our annual event: Religion Panel. Religion Panel has been traditionally hosted at the MSC and been open to the general public. As a reminder of our roots, Religion Panel is an opportunity for our student body to be exposed to experts from most of the major religions in the world. This event has drawn crowds curious as well as helped open minds to different perspectives. This year, Jonathon Mitchell was our Religion Panel Chair in charge of our cornerstone event.
This year we had the pleasure of performing Now You See Me at Songfest 2018 with Delta Zeta. After 3 months of hard work and an incredible bonding experience, we were able to raise $5,000 for our charities. Songfest provided our New Guys with an incredible opportunity to bond with both our Old Guys, as well as a great group of women. Look forward to seeing us with Aggie Sisters in Christ at Songfest 2019! This year Matt Garcia, Kyle Faldyn, and Jacob Ginnings served as our songfest chairs and did an incredible job coordinating everything.
Boys and Girls club
One of our proudest accomplishments in the past few years has been our relationship with the Boys and Girls Club of Brazos Valley. Weekly, various Gents visit the BCS location to help mentor local children through a program called Passport to Manhood. These relationships have forever changed both Mentor and Mentee as well as formed life-long connections. In addition to mentoring, this past fall we also had the opportunity to help with their Fall Field Day. We are proud to be able to serve our community as well the next generation of leaders.
The Big event
Every year Gents participates in The Big Event benefiting the entire community of Bryan/College Station. We partnered last year with Aggie Classics in order to make a bigger impact. We look forward to teaming with Ryllies for 2019 and be able to make a difference together.
